I've been building Porchlight, a small web app for getting older people talking about their lives and keeping those stories for the family. How it works: the person opens it on a tablet or phone and taps one big button. A question is read out loud ("What was your first job?" kind of thing), they answer, and the recording is saved and transcribed.
